Leaders from Adventist World Radio (AWR) International recently visited the AWR Studio in Metro Manila, Philippines, bringing encouragement and inspiration to the ministry team serving through radio and digital evangelism.
The visit highlighted the ministry of AWR 89.1 FM, a radio station airing in Metro Manila that continues to share messages of hope, faith, health, and biblical truth to listeners across the region through Christ-centered programming and community-focused broadcasts.
The gathering emphasized the continuing partnership between global AWR leadership and regional media ministries in advancing the mission of sharing the gospel through modern communication platforms. Team members described the visit as a meaningful reminder that every broadcast, program, and message aired through AWR forms part of a larger mission to bring hope, faith, and the love of God to people everywhere.
AWR leaders commended the dedication and commitment of the local team in utilizing media as a powerful tool for mission outreach. The visit also reaffirmed the importance of excellence in communication ministry as the church continues reaching communities through radio, online platforms, and other digital initiatives.
“This ministry is more than broadcasting,” said Pastor Robert Dulay, AWR Asia-Pacific Region. “Every message produced and shared becomes an opportunity for individuals and families to encounter the hope found in Jesus.”
The gathering strengthened the team’s commitment to continue serving faithfully through media ministry while supporting the global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Present during the visit were Pastor Jim Howard, AWR President; Sonya Howard, wife of Pastor Howard; Pastor Justin Ringstaff, AWR Vice President; Charne Renou, AWR Vice President for Finance; Hon. Kathryn Proffitt, AWR Ambassador; Pastor Robert Dulay, AWR-APR Regional Director; Pastor Nerio Carranza, AWR 89.1 FM Station Manager; Leo Bolanos, AWR 89.1 FM Broadcast Technician; Pastor Kyle Laurenz Gandalera, AWR 89.1 FM Pastor; and Retired AFP General Randolph Cabangbang.
Following their visit to the radio studio, the delegation also visited the AWR Center for Digital Evangelism, where they learned more about ongoing digital initiatives designed to expand gospel outreach through online platforms, social media, and emerging communication technologies. The visit underscored the growing role of digital evangelism in connecting people to biblical messages of hope across urban centers and challenging mission territories.
The local AWR team expressed gratitude for the guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support extended by the visiting leaders, noting that the visit further inspired the ministry to continue using media to share the everlasting gospel with every home and every heart.
