Seventh-day Adventist Church workers and ministry leaders gathered at the Pakistan Union Section office on July 19 for a digital mission and media strategy session focused on using digital media and modern communication tools more effectively for mission.
The training covered digital evangelism, content planning, social media engagement, media promotion, and strategies for sharing the gospel through digital platforms. Participants explored how to move beyond simply posting information online and instead create intentional, mission-focused content that informs, inspires, engages, and connects people with Christ.

Sessions also addressed the importance of understanding target audiences, developing relevant and culturally appropriate content, maintaining a consistent online presence, and strategically selecting digital platforms. Discussions included using social media, video, online communication, and digital Bible interests to extend ministry beyond the physical walls of the church.
The presentations framed digital media as both a mission field and a practical tool for gospel outreach. Samuel Nazir, Adventist Mission and Adventist-Muslim Relations director, addressed the potential of digital platforms to reach people beyond the church walls, while Azmat Emmanuel, director of communication for the Pakistan Union Section, Adventist World Radio Urdu, and Hope Channel Pakistan, focused on the practical use of creative content, social media, and smartphones for ministry. Together, the sessions encouraged participants to approach their digital presence intentionally and view themselves as active digital missionaries.
Participants also discussed ways to connect online engagement with Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and local church communities. The session emphasized that digital evangelism is most effective when online ministry fosters personal relationships and meaningful connections with the local church. By linking online engagement with personal relationships and local church ministry, the training presented digital evangelism as an extension of the church’s broader mission.
