Short TikTok videos marked the beginning of Omelyan Visokansky's spiritual journey, a young man in the Lviv region of western Ukraine.
One day, he came across the blog of a Seventh-day Adventist pastor on social media. Initially, they were merely interesting thoughts and brief passages from the Bible, he shares. But over time, Visokansky's heart was ignited with a desire to know God more closely. He began reading the Bible on his own and realized that this was the truth he had been searching for all along.
In his search for a community of faith, the young man traveled to Lviv, where he attended a Seventh-day Adventist worship service for the first time. Later, he learned that much closer to his home, in the town of Sambir, there was an Adventist congregation that meets every Saturday. Since then, he has become part of this community, where he has received support and encouragement from fellow members.
Today, Visokansky is preparing to publicly commit his life to Christ through baptism.
