Penang Adventist Hospital Marks World Breastfeeding Week 2025 with a Community Circle of Support

The Penang Adventist Hospital celebrated World Breastfeeding Week 2025 at Gurney Plaza on August 3, 2025, drawing mothers, fathers, grandparents—and friends—into a “circle of love” around every breastfeeding journey. With the global theme “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems,” hospital leaders and families affirmed their commitment to supporting breastfeeding mothers and their infants.

YB Lim Siew Khim (林秀琴), Penang State Executive Councillor for Social Development, Welfare, and Non‑Islamic Religious Affairs, joined the event, underscoring that breastfeeding support extends far beyond hospital walls and is a shared responsibility across communities.

It also fosters stronger mother‑child bonding and improvements in mental health, reducing maternal stress and symptoms of depression.
