In Cambodia, 12 are baptized through local outreach

From July 15–18, 2026, the Adventist Church shared the gospel to a previously unreached area in Ratanakiri, Cambodia. More than 300 people from different Indigenous ethnic communities attended evangelistic meetings each day.

Outreach efforts were led through a partnership between Danita P. Caderma, Southern Asia-Pacific Division Children's Ministries director, and Heng Sayon, Cambodia Adventist Mission Children’s Ministries director.

Together with local workers and church members, they created an opportunity for children, parents, and families to hear a message many were encountering for the first time.

Serving as the main speaker, Caderma presented messages of spiritual encouragement and hope. At the center of her presentations was the promise of Jesus' second coming. Participants said the message invited them to look beyond their present circumstances and place their trust in God’s future.

The meetings became a place where people could listen, reflect, and respond. Each message was designed to remind families that they are seen by God, loved by Him, and invited to become part of His family.

The outreach program also demonstrated the important role of Children’s Ministries in the Church's wider mission, said event leaders.

Organizers highlighted how ministry to children rarely touches children alone.

"When children are welcomed, parents listen. When families feel seen and valued, relationships begin to grow. Through those relationships, the message of Jesus can enter homes and transform entire communities," said representatives.

On the final day of the outreach mission, 12 people from local Indigenous communities publicly committed their lives to Jesus Christ through baptism.

Each person carried a unique story, family, and future newly grounded in faith. Organizers said the baptisms became a testimony to what can happen when the Church prayerfully enters new communities and shares the gospel with compassion.

Event organizers and supporters said the baptisms not only concluded the event but also marked the beginning of 12 new journeys with Christ and the start of a growing spiritual community that will need continued prayer, care, and discipleship.
