The Henry family has confirmed that Pastor Elie Henry, a regional spiritual leader for the Seventh-day Adventist Church and his daughter have been detained by unknown individuals in Haiti, since the evening of December 24, 2020. The Henry family has been in regular contact with Pastor Elie and understand both he and his daughter are as well as can be expected considering the circumstances. The family and others are working diligently to seek a secure safe return.
The Henry family and the Church ask you not to speculate on social media but rather focus your energy on keeping Pastor Henry and his daughter Irma in your prayers during this trying time.

Youth Directors’ Evangelism in Southwestern Philippines Leads to 40 Baptisms in Remote Island
Loreto and Tubajon, two towns in the island province of Dinagat in northeastern Mindanao, Philippines, experienced a spirit of revival as youth directors from the Adventist churches in the Southwestern Philippines region (SWPUC) spearheaded an evangelistic campaign from August 11–16, 2025. The united outreach, supported by youth leaders from youth leaders in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), SWPUC, and the Northeastern Mindanao regional office (NeMM), culminated in the baptism of 40 individuals who chose to follow Christ.
