General Conference Secretariat Team Elected for 2025–2030
Delegates affirm leaders to support global coordination, mission personnel, and church structure.

On July 7, 2025, during the 62nd General Conference (GC) Session in St. Louis, Missouri, delegates elected the Secretariat team that will serve the world church for the 2025–2030 quinquennium. The vote passed 1,854 to 26.
The team includes:

Gerson P. Santos, Associate Secretary
Gary D. Krause, Associate Secretary
Elbert Kuhn, Associate Secretary, AVS of the General Conference
Karen J Porter, Associate Secretary, IPRS of the General Conference
Selom Kwasi Sessou, Associate Secretary
Alexander Ott, Associate Secretary
These leaders will support the work of the General Conference secretary, providing oversight for the church’s global administrative structure. The Secretariat team plays a key role in ensuring smooth global operations and nurturing the expanding mission workforce of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The election is part of the broader decision-making process of the General Conference Session, held every five years to unite global delegates in worship, prayer, business meetings, and leadership selection.

Youth Directors’ Evangelism in Southwestern Philippines Leads to 40 Baptisms in Remote Island
Loreto and Tubajon, two towns in the island province of Dinagat in northeastern Mindanao, Philippines, experienced a spirit of revival as youth directors from the Adventist churches in the Southwestern Philippines region (SWPUC) spearheaded an evangelistic campaign from August 11–16, 2025. The united outreach, supported by youth leaders from youth leaders in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), SWPUC, and the Northeastern Mindanao regional office (NeMM), culminated in the baptism of 40 individuals who chose to follow Christ.

Her participation reflects the active role of women leaders in shaping the mission and administrative direction of the Adventist Church in the region.
