A joint evangelistic effort led by the Phu Nhuan Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Ho Chi Minh International Seventh-day Adventist Church resulted in the baptism of 20 individuals from June 6 to 7, 2025.
The two-day series, held on Friday and Sabbath, was part of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division’s Harvest 2025 initiative, a yearlong campaign that mobilizes local churches across the region to engage in intentional evangelism and community outreach.
Vietnam, situated within the 10/40 Window—a region where access to the gospel remains limited for many—continues to offer meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth and outreach. Holding these evangelistic meetings within church premises is a significant blessing, both for the local congregation and for individuals seeking hope and healing through the message of God’s Word.
The meetings were a collaborative effort between church members and Pastor Stephen Jung Tae of the Ho Chi Minh International Seventh-day Adventist Church. Volunteers played key roles in preparation, logistics, and outreach. Church leaders expressed appreciation for the support of church members whose work behind the scenes helped ensure the success of the program.
Participants included both long-time Bible students and first-time attendees who had been introduced to the faith through friends and local church initiatives. Each baptism was conducted with the support of local elders and witnessed by fellow members who gathered to celebrate the milestone.
The Phu Nhuan Church’s participation marks Vietnam’s growing involvement in Harvest 2025, joining other churches across Southeast Asia in responding to the call to share hope and healing in their communities.

Youth Directors’ Evangelism in Southwestern Philippines Leads to 40 Baptisms in Remote Island
Loreto and Tubajon, two towns in the island province of Dinagat in northeastern Mindanao, Philippines, experienced a spirit of revival as youth directors from the Adventist churches in the Southwestern Philippines region (SWPUC) spearheaded an evangelistic campaign from August 11–16, 2025. The united outreach, supported by youth leaders from youth leaders in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), SWPUC, and the Northeastern Mindanao regional office (NeMM), culminated in the baptism of 40 individuals who chose to follow Christ.
