Adventist Church Advances Gospel Work in Western Cambodia
Mission leaders deliver aid, pray with families, and outline plans for a lasting church presence near the Thailand-Cambodia border.

As tensions continue along the Thailand-Cambodia border, the Adventist Church in Cambodia (CAM) advances its outreach in Koh Kong Province, delivering assistance and strengthening a growing community of faith in the region.
From Feb. 6–7, 2026, CAM leaders carried out a follow-up visit to Thma Bang District, a remote area near the border, to support church members and individuals who recently expressed interest in the Adventist message. Pastor Mao Roeun, also known as Yohan and recently elected president of CAM, led the delegation.
The team distributed food and essential supplies to about 30 families. They prayed for the sick and encouraged residents as they navigated economic and social uncertainties. Church leaders identified the group as a newly emerging faith community that CAM continues to nurture through humanitarian outreach and intentional spiritual care.
In addition to immediate relief efforts, mission leaders presented long-term plans for the district. They proposed purchasing land and constructing a church building and school as part of a broader strategy to establish a sustainable, gospel-centered presence in the area.
Nearly 2,000 families live in the surrounding territory. CAM leaders recognized the district’s strong potential for holistic ministry and outlined plans to launch health initiatives, livelihood and skills training, and regular worship gatherings. Through these efforts, the church seeks to respond to practical needs while sharing biblical teachings.
The outreach in Koh Kong demonstrates CAM’s ongoing commitment to expand its ministry across Cambodia, especially in rural and underserved communities. By integrating compassionate service with intentional gospel proclamation, church leaders continue to build relationships and share a message of hope amid challenging circumstances.

Youth Directors’ Evangelism in Southwestern Philippines Leads to 40 Baptisms in Remote Island
Loreto and Tubajon, two towns in the island province of Dinagat in northeastern Mindanao, Philippines, experienced a spirit of revival as youth directors from the Adventist churches in the Southwestern Philippines region (SWPUC) spearheaded an evangelistic campaign from August 11–16, 2025. The united outreach, supported by youth leaders from youth leaders in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), SWPUC, and the Northeastern Mindanao regional office (NeMM), culminated in the baptism of 40 individuals who chose to follow Christ.

Her participation reflects the active role of women leaders in shaping the mission and administrative direction of the Adventist Church in the region.
