Maybe in one moment of your life you felt like your world was going to collapse. Like you were not worthy enough, or you didn’t deserve the love you were given.

Maybe in one moment of your life you felt like your world was going to collapse. Like you were not worthy enough, or you didn’t deserve the love you were given. You started to sleep way more (or less) than usual, you started to stop eating because you simply were not hungry. Maybe you lost interest in things that previously loved, or you lost concentration doing tasks at work or at school. Do you relate with everything mentioned? Maybe you are suffering depression.
Now, let’s review some actions you can start doing right now to overcome this stage:
Exercise regularly:
It may help ease depression by releasing feel-good endorphins and taking your mind off worries. Also, it will help you to gain confidence and more social interaction.
Eat Healthy:
A research made by the University of Manchester found that "The similar effects from any type of dietary improvement suggests that highly-specific or specialized diets are unnecessary for the average individual. Instead, just making simple changes is equally beneficial for mental health." 2
Sleep better:
Keep a regular sleep/wake schedule. Some people, when depressed, tend to sleep more, and some tend to sleep less. So, the best way is to ‘force’ your mind and body to sleep and wake on a schedule. 3
Talk to someone you trust:
It might feel hard to start talking about how you are feeling, but many people find that just sharing their experiences can help them feel better. It may be that just having someone listen to you and show they care can help in itself. 4
Give your problems to God:
What a great reassurance we have in God, our beloved Father. He cares about us. He is always available for us and no matter what we have done, he is willing to forgive us.
In the Holy Bible, God gives us a lot of beautiful promises and advises. One of them is: “Finally, brothers and sister, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such thing.

Youth Directors’ Evangelism in Southwestern Philippines Leads to 40 Baptisms in Remote Island
