1000 Missionary Movement Celebrates Homecoming of 72 Global Missionaries After 10 Months of Service
Ceremony honors faith-driven achievements, including baptisms, church-building, and renewed spiritual commitments around the world.

On January 25, 2025, the 1000 Missionary Movement celebrated a significant milestone with a Homecoming Ceremony honoring 72 missionaries who completed 10 months of service across various global mission fields.
Held under the theme “Mission Refocusing: I Will Go,” the event celebrated both the personal journeys and collective achievements of these young adults who dedicated nearly a year to faith-based service and community outreach.
Throughout their mission term, the group supported 1,153 baptisms, contributed to the construction of nine churches, and helped establish 32 new congregations. They also played a vital role in reconnecting 1,188 individuals—commonly referred to in church settings as "backsliders"—with their spiritual communities.
The ceremony featured a keynote message by Dr. Nam DaeGeuk, former president of Sahmyook University in Korea. Speaking on “The Responsibility and Duty of the Priest,” Dr. Nam reflected on the sacred responsibility of those who commit themselves to sharing the Gospel and serving others.
Cho KiHyung, training coordinator and associate director of the 1000 Missionary Movement, formally introduced the group to Han SukHee, director of the movement. Pastor Han welcomed the missionaries warmly, commending their dedication and encouraging them to continue serving with strength and purpose.
As the ceremony came to a close, the missionaries expressed deep gratitude and reflection on their experiences. The theme “I Will Go” echoed as a renewed personal pledge—to serve with faith, no matter the challenges ahead.
The Homecoming Ceremony not only marked the end of one chapter but also cast a vision forward—where faith, mission, and service continue to shape the lives of these committed young people.

Youth Directors’ Evangelism in Southwestern Philippines Leads to 40 Baptisms in Remote Island
Loreto and Tubajon, two towns in the island province of Dinagat in northeastern Mindanao, Philippines, experienced a spirit of revival as youth directors from the Adventist churches in the Southwestern Philippines region (SWPUC) spearheaded an evangelistic campaign from August 11–16, 2025. The united outreach, supported by youth leaders from youth leaders in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), SWPUC, and the Northeastern Mindanao regional office (NeMM), culminated in the baptism of 40 individuals who chose to follow Christ.
